To clarify: The City will pick up dead wild animals in the City’s street right of way. Where possible, City crews can also pickup large wild animal carcasses on private properties inside the City of Decatur such as deer and coyotes. Smaller dead animals on private property (such as squirrels, birds, raccoons, ground hogs and opossums) should be carefully bagged and disposed in the trash by private property owners and residents.
