Mattel has unveiled a groundbreaking addition to the Barbie Fashionistas line: the first-ever Barbie doll with Type 1 diabetes.

The first-ever Barbie with Type 1 diabetes comes with an insulin pump and glucose monitor. Both kids and adults with diabetes are celebrating the announcement and say they are grateful for a doll that represents them.
