On the popular social media app TikTok, teenagers are sharing videos of school-issued Chromebooks spewing smoke in what's being called the "Chromebook challenge."

Local fire officials and school districts across the US, including Missouri, are warning parents about the dangers of the "Chromebook Challenge" on TikTok, which involves tampering with lithium batteries in Chromebooks and could cause life-threatening health risks.
