Around 400,000 Palestinians have fled famine-stricken Gaza City since Israel launched a major offensive last month aimed at occupying it.

The White House has not received Hamas' response to the peace plan they put out on Monday, press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters on Thursday. They still “expect” Hamas to accept the plan, Leavitt said. “The President made it very clear he wants to hear back from them very soon,” Leavitt said.
