CLEVELAND, Ohio — Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski took questions from reporters on Monday with regard to traveling for their joint practices and preseason game in Philadelphia, Dillon Gabriel’s injury status, Shedeur Sanders, and more. Flacco served as the team’s QB late in the 2023 season to lead Cleveland to its second postseason appearance under head coach Kevin Stefanski and that familiarity likely helped the 40-year-old signal-caller secure the job. In his Tuesday press conference, Stefanski said Flacco has done really well in the offseason program and training camp.
The Browns announced on Monday that Flacco will get the start when the Browns host AFC North rival Cincinnati in the Sept. 7 opener. Coach Kevin Stefanski indicated over the past week that decision was coming.
