Following a disappointing 2024-25 season, there are questions as to what direction the Seattle Kraken should take this offseason.

Not only did the Kraken miss the playoffs again, but similar to a tepid inaugural season, they were out of contention before the season was half over. During the same December-January stretch where Seattle was heading off on a record run in 2023-24, backstopped by rising star goalie Joey Daccord, they dropped 11 of 15 in 2024-25.

VANCOUVER -- Joey Daccord made 25 saves for the Seattle Kraken in a 5-0 win against the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena on Wednesday. Andre Burakovsky had a goal and assist, and Jared McCann had three assists for the Kraken (32-38-6), who won for the second time in seven games (2-4-1).

Daccord recorded a 24-save shutout in Wednesday's 5-0 win over the Canucks. Daccord was stout between the pipes, earning the fifth shutout of his career, two of which have come this season. He's had mixed results more recently -- he allowed at least three goals in nine of his 11 appearances in March.
