October baseball is here! Major League Baseball’s postseason will officially get underway on Tuesday, September 30 with the start of the Wild Card Series. The field for the postseason came down to the final day of the regular season with the Reds locking up the final playoff spot in the National League due to winning the season series against the Mets. The Brewers and the Phillies secured the top two seeds in the National League and will receive first round byes. The Cubs will host the Padres in the 4-5 matchup while the Reds will travel to Los Angeles to take on the defending champion Dodgers. Over in the American League, the Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners will receive first round byes as the top two seeds. The Tigers will travel to Cleveland to take on the surging Guardians in an AL Central matchup. The other AL Wild Card series will feature another postseason matchup between the Red Sox and the Yankees. There will be stars aplenty in the Division Series of the Major League Baseball playoffs. The Wild Card round is behind us, with the New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers, Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers all advancing to the next round. Each of those squads will take on a team that got some extra rest by earning a bye into the Division Series.
And then there were eight. The Wild Card round of the 2025 MLB postseason is over, and the four teams that survived are now advancing to face the four teams that earned the right to skip the line and go right to the Division Series.

Through the postseason, the Phillies concessions are offering a 9/9/9 challenge box. The 9/9/9 challenge requires participants to eat nine hot dogs and drink nine beers in nine innings.
