Novo Nordisk said on Monday it was offering its diabetes drug Ozempic for $499 per month to eligible cash-paying patients with type 2 diabetes in the U.S. via its own pharmacy, a tie-up with telehealth service GoodRx and other platforms.

GoodRx offers coupons for reduced prescription drug prices at retail pharmacies. The company says patients will be able to use GoodRx to self-pay for both Ozempic and Wegovy at the $499-per-month price at 70,000 U.S. retail pharmacies.

Several months after unveiling its direct-to-consumer NovoCare Pharmacy service with the launch of a $499 cash-pay option for a monthly supply of Wegovy, Novo Nordisk is expanding the discount to include its other GLP-1 heavyweight.
