First responders rescued a parachutist from a high-rise building in Uptown overnight Monday, the Charlotte Fire Department said.

Firefighters rescued a parachutist after he was trapped on the side of a high-rise in Uptown Charlotte early Tuesday morning, officials said. Charlotte Fire responded to a report of someone stuck on a building along South Church Street near the Mint Museum around 1 a.

The parachutist refused to say where they jumped from “or how they arrived at their precarious position,” fire officials said.
