Aryna Sabalenka's Cincinnati Open title defense is over. The World No. 1 was eliminated by Elena Rybakina in the quarterfinals Aug. 15.

Stefano Vukov, formerly banned coach of WTA World No. 10 Elena Rybakina, was seen sitting in the 2022 Wimbledon champion's box in Cincinnati just a day after the WTA lifted his suspension.

But Vukov refused to sit silently - and after appealing the WTA's ban - he won his case and rejoined Rybakina's team at the Cincinnati Open. And that is already having a positive impact on the Kazakh, who is through to the semifinal after ousting top seed Aryna Sabalenka 6-1 6-4.

The coach of 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina has been cleared by the WTA Tour to return from his suspension for a potential breach of its code of conduct.

Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko rallied to reach the National Bank Open final, beating ninth-seeded Elena Rybakina 1-6, 7-5, 7-6 (4) on Wednesday night.

Chakvetadze, a former world No. 8, appeared on a podcast with former three-time Grand Slam finalist Safina. At one point during their conversation, the former Russian tennis star said that Ivanisevic privately told her he was surprised that Rybakina only had one Wimbledon title in her collection.
