Mike Woodson spent a lot more of his basketball life in the professional ranks than he did in the college game. For his next coaching opportunity, Woodson will be headed back to the NBA. It has been reported by multiple sources that Woodson will join Doug Christie’s Sacramento Kings coaching staff.

Multiple sources told KCRA 3's Sean Cunningham that both Woodson and Jackson will join the coaching staff of Doug Christie, who recently signed a multi-year deal with the Kings to be their next head coach. Those sources spoke on the condition of anonymity because the hiring of assistant coaches was not yet official.

Woodson will join the Sacramento Kings’ coaching staff as an assistant coach under head coach Doug Christie, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. Woodson’s newest position marks his eighth as an assistant in the NBA beginning in 1996 with the Milwaukee Bucks.
