Uganda has entered an agreement with the United States to take in nationals from third countries who may not get asylum in the U.S. but are reluctant to return to their countries of origin, the foreign affairs ministry said on Thursday.

Uganda has signed a deal with the United States to accept people from other countries who have been refused asylum in America but don't want to go back to their home countries.

Emilie Larter and her partner, Josh, hope to relocate to her home in the U.K. with their four adoptive kids. The TikTok star started a GoFundMe page to help cover visa costs and legal adoption fees so their family can leave Uganda together.

Jane Nabakooza, a pediatrician with Uganda’s malaria control program, said she expects the government will make Coartem Baby available to patients free of charge, even after losing funding when the U.S. shrank its foreign aid program earlier this year.
