President Donald Trump’s foreign envoy Steve Witkoff — one of three American participants in Friday’s summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin — described on Sunday several major agreements reached during the Alaska talks that he said created strong momentum toward a peace agreement with Ukraine.
The documents reportedly included plans for a canceled luncheon, seating charts, a gift presentation and phone numbers for U.S. and Russian officials.

The summit comes days after Trump hosted Russian President Vladimir Putin without inviting Zelenskyy, and follows a contentious previous meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy earlier this year. On Friday, US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin met at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska.
After leaving Alaska, Trump says he would prefer to "go directly to a peace agreement" to end the war in Ukraine as he prepares to meet Zelensky on Monday.
A spokesperson for the Trump administration seemed entirely unfazed after a MAGA aide left details plans for the Alaska summit in a hotel printer.
