The McLaren Formula 1 team has extended the contract of its aerodynamics chief Peter Prodromou, who played a key part in its 2024 constructors' title. The Woking outfit announced on Tuesday Prodromou would continue in his capacity of aerodynamics technical director on a long-term deal as the team intends to keep together the squad that returned it to the front of F1 over the past two seasons.

McLaren have announced a multi-year contract extension for renowned F1 aerodynamicist Peter Prodromou. The 56-year-old has played an integral role at McLaren since he returned to the team from Red Bull in 2014. Since 2023, he has served as McLaren’s technical director, aerodynamics, helping transform the team’s F1 fortunes.
