He took off down the field after escaping from pressure and tried to lateral the ball to Ty Johnson, but his "backwards" pass actually traveled forward so the Bills were penalized five yards from the spot of the foul and had to punt. They downed the ball at the 3-yard line.

Over the course of the season, though, the Bills have had struggles at wide receiver. Most recently, the Bills made Keon Coleman a healthy scratch due to disciplinary reasons. Even so, Coleman has been a big disappointment in 2025.
