The Fox River runs 215 miles, making it the fifth longest river in Wisconsin, according the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. The DNR lists the top 10 Wisconsin rivers by length as follows.
Even though it's not known for lakes, the Fox Valley area has 38 of them, according to the Wisconsin DNR's Find A Lake database. Twenty-nine of those lakes are small, unnamed water bodies.
DE PERE (WLUK) -- The sturgeon spawning run continues in parts of Northeast Wisconsin. That includes the Green Bay area, and the lower Fox River below the De Pere dam.
