Just over a week after US President Donald Trump strong-armed Israel and Hamas into an agreement that halted the war, Palestinians in Gaza are beginning to put the pieces of their lives back together.

Sources say the 28-year-old was killed by members of Israel-linked ‘militia’ fighting Hamas in the Sabra neighbourhood.

With a ceasefire in place, Palestinians have been returning to what remains of their homes and communities.

The U.N. said on Friday 560 tonnes of food had entered Gaza per day on average since a ceasefire took effect but convoys were struggling to reach famine-struck Gaza city due to war-damaged roads and continued closures of key northern aid routes.
