Maine State Police have arrested a teenager in connection with the suspicious death of 48-year-old paddleboarder Sunshine Stewart, whose body was found on an island in Crawford Pond.

Deven Young is the 17-year-old suspect accused of the murder of Union, ME, paddleboarder Sunshine Stewart. Young is from Frankfort, ME, and is 17-years-old, according to WMTW-TV. Stewart was found deceased at Crawford Pond on July 2,

Police in Maine are investigating the death of a paddleboarder near a campground in rural Maine as a homicide and asking the public for help finding the killer.

Sunshine Stewart, the slain paddleboarder, died of strangulation and blunt force trauma, Maine authorities announced Thursday.
