The Seattle Mariners regained a 3-2 lead of the ALCS after beating the Toronto Blue Jays 6-2 in Game 5. Eugenio Suarez hit a go-ahead grand slam in the eighth inning to lift the Mariners to victory.
Cal Raleigh’s leadoff home run tied Game 5 of the American League Championship Series in the bottom of the eighth, and four batters later, Eugenio Suárez unleashed an opposite-field grand slam that lifted the Mariners to a 6-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays at T-Mobile Park.
Raleigh, who caught 209 pitches in Game 5 of the DS, was at the center of it all, playing any number of familiar roles — slugger, receiver, pitcher whisperer, Kevin Gausman dominator, Rogers Centre owner.
