Kenny Loggins Slams Donald Trump for Using “Danger Zone” Song “With the Sole Purpose of Dividing Us”
The 1980s hitmaker demanded the unauthorized use of his recording from the 'Top Gun' franchise be removed from an AI video that the president shared on social media.
On Saturday, Trump posted what appeared to be an AI-generated video of him flying a fighter jet over the United States while dumping feces on “No Kings Day” protesters. The video—which has sparked widespread backlash —also features Loggins’ “Danger Zone” from the 1986 blockbuster “Top Gun.”
I can’t imagine why anybody would want their music used or associated with something created with the sole purpose of dividing us,” he said.
Musician Kenny Loggins issued a statement Monday requesting his music be removed from an AI-generated video President Donald Trump posted on his Truth Social account. The video posted by the President Saturday portrayed him wearing a crown in a jet labeled "King Trump" while dumping brown sludge on a crowd of protesters.
