Ed Zuercher is coming back to manage the city of Phoenix this fall, after city leaders voted, 5-4, on Sept. 17 to rehire him for the role.

Phoenix leaders will vote on whether to rehire Ed Zuercher as the new city manager when they meet on Sept. 17. Zuercher led the city as its chief executive for eight years before retiring in 2021.
