Self-driving taxi company Waymo has recalled over 1,200 cars in the US after multiple collisions. This has once again raised concerns about self-driving cars in India and how the infrastructure is lacking.
Waymo said its vehicles will soon be seen in several Boston neighborhoods, Cambridge, Somerville and on major highways.
Waymo has since expanded to Phoenix, Austin, and Miami, with more locations on the way. So we were pleased to read in the Boston Globe on Monday that Waymo will be sending human drivers in Waymo vehicles to begin mapping Boston’s streets very shortly.
Waymo said the goal of the trip is to explore how Boston's unique driving environment compares to areas where Waymo routinely operates.
