SEATTLE - Milwaukee Brewers rookie phenom Jacob Misiorowski was pulled after only 3⅔ innings and 64 pitches in the Brewers' 1-0 loss to the Seattle Mariners on July 22, which snapped their 11-game winning streak. But Misiorowski's lower pitch count was part of Milwaukee's plan going into the game.

Misiorowski's counterpart, Logan Gilbert, held the Brewers to just two hits and punched out 10 batters across 6 ⅓ innings. The Mariners offense, meanwhile, supplied the only run of the game on a homer by catcher Cal Raleigh, his 39th of the year.

The Brewers, now tied for MLB's best record, have new ace Jacob Misiorowski. They are holding back on his innings. Maybe he should finish games, not start them.
