Stars coach Pete DeBoer says this is the best response team he has had in Dallas. They keep responding and now go into Game 4 at home with a chance for a 3-1 series lead against the top-seeded Winnipeg Jets in the second round of the Western Conference playoffs.

The Dallas Stars’ pursuit of a second Stanley Cup took another step forward on Sunday when they defeated the Winnipeg Jets 5-2. Dallas now leads the Jets two games to one in the second round of the playoffs. Sunday’s win was not without some drama though, with a third period score by the Stars’ Alexander Petrovic.

After getting blanked in Winnipeg on Friday night, the Stars needed a big response on home ice. The Jets had been shaky on the road last series and last playoffs, and the Stars had been far better when at American Airlines Center.
