JACKSON TWP. − What began as a peaceful No Kings protest and dance party along Fulton Drive NW nearly ended in tragedy after one participant was injured by a hit-and-run driver on Saturday afternoon. The incident involving an unidentified driver of a white pickup truck occurred shortly after 2 p.m. Oct. 18.

CLEVELAND — A 22-year-old driver died after a train collided with their car over the weekend. Around 6:02 a.m. Saturday, a Volkswagen SUV was stopped on a railway property west of Coit Road north of Kirby Ave in Cleveland, CBS affiliate WOIO-19 reported.

The 46-year-old driver was zipping south on Jerome Ave. in Fordham Heights when he slammed into an I-beam near E. 181st St.

Police responded to a reported altercation between a resident and a delivery driver at 7:18 p.m. Oct. 16. There was no further information at the time of the report. A man was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct and endangering children when police responded to a call at 6:08 p.m. Oct. 18.

According to officials, the Mercedes driver fled after the crash, and the 22-year-old passenger in the car was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Officers were called to the Broadway Chapter apartments at 401 Hemphill St. near downtown shortly after 3 a.m. Wednesday. The cars were all parked along Hemphill Street, according to police, and a damaged white 2016 Fort Expedition believed to be the suspect vehicle was abandoned nearby.

Rapper Playboi Carti was issued a citation for assault of a limo driver while the rapper was in Utah for a performance earlier this month.

A limo driver claims that Playboi Carti hit his girlfriend and punched him in Utah on Oct. 2, according to reports obtained by TMZ and Utah outlet KSL. Carti was charged with assault following the incident.

A passenger was killed in a single car accident on Weaver Road, near Kenly, early Sunday morning. Troopers said the driver ran away from the scene.
