Wide receiver Jalen McMillan was placed on injured reserve, meaning he will not be able to play until Week 5 at a minimum. ESPN's Jenna Laine reports, though, that McMillan could more than likely be out until after the Bucs bye Week, which would have him return in November.
McMillan sustained a “severely sprained neck” in their preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday and will land on injured reserve, according to the Tampa Bay Times’ Rick Stroud. Though an official timeline for his return isn’t clear, McMillan may miss at least eight games recovering.
Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the Bucs will place McMillan on injured reserve to start the season. That will keep McMillan out at least four games, but Stroud added that McMillan could be out past the team’s off week in Week 9.
The Buccaneers received unfortunate news regarding wide receiver Jalen McMillan on Tuesday. McMillan will start the 2025 season on the injured reserve list after suffering a “severely sprained neck" vs. the Steelers in Saturday's preseason game, via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.
