'Otherworldly' crash site discovered on surface of Mars by NASA helicopter
An "otherwordly" crash site of another spacecraft was photographed by a NASA helicopter. Back in 2020, the Perseverance Rover was sent up to the Red Planet with the Mars Helicopter called Ingenuity strapped to the bottom of it.
Real story behind Mars' 'otherworldly' wreckage captured by NASA probe
The images of the 'saucer' were caught by a NASA helicopter orbiting Mars, with experts on the technology used to snap it saying it looks 'otherworldly' even to science boffins like them. But the truth of the matter is a bit closer to hope and nothing to do with little green men hiding behind rocks on the Red Planet.
'Mystery on Mars': NASA helicopter finds strange, ‘alien-like’ crash site on Red Planet. See pic
NASA’s Ingenuity helicopter on Mars captured eerie images of its 2021 landing debris, revealing intact parachute parts. Originally meant for 5 flights, it’s now completed over 70.
Mars, Meteorite
Meteorite found in a drawer in 1929 contains ancient evidence of liquid water on Mars
A sliver of Martian rock that once lay hidden in a university drawer has helped researchers better understand the Red Planet’s geological history. Using isotopic dating, a team at Purdue University has determined that the “Lafayette Meteorite” likely interacted with liquid water approximately 742 million years ago.
Meteorite that struck Mars reveals when the planet had liquid water
The study identified when water interacted with the meteorite and established that the dating was unaffected by events after it left Mars.
Meteorite contains evidence of liquid water on Mars 742 million years ago
An asteroid struck Mars 11 million years ago and sent pieces of the red planet hurtling through space. One of these chunks of Mars eventually crashed into the Earth and is one of the few meteorites that can be traced directly to Mars.
