Janelle Monáe flaunted a deconstructed suit look at the Met Gala on Monday, complete with an eye-catching monocle. The 10-time Grammy nominated singer-songwriter graced the gala's midnight-blue floral carpet with a showstopping, punchy design from Thom Browne (the label ended up dressing several celebrities for fashion's biggest night).

On the eve of the Met Gala 2025, the musician and actor revealed her Thom Browne look, created in collaboration with Oscar-Winning Costume Designer Paul Tazewell, and why she was never going to show up in a regular suit.

Even by my greedy standards, I was blown away by the sheer number of incredible timepieces on Monday night’s Met Gala red carpet—not to mention the creative ways that many of them were worn. Janelle Monáe was a standout in that category.
