Thousands attend 'No Kings' protests Dallas-Fort Worth despite rain
The No Kings Day of Defiance has been organized to reject authoritarianism, billionaire-first politics, and the militarization of the country’s democracy, according to a statement by organizers.
The majority of those gathered were part of the No Kings rally with a smaller group of people there to show their support for the Trump administration.
A protest in Bastrop, Texas was part of dozens that took place across the country Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, for the “No Kings” day of action.
Organizers said some 2,600 protests were planned in the U.S. on Saturday. The protests were largely peaceful, as demonstrators united in their stated aim to safeguard the country's democratic values.
