Another power outage in San Francisco left thousands of Pacific Gas and Electric customers in the dark Sunday night.

More than 116,000 customers were without power Monday morning as a winter storm brought high winds and snow, but the figure declined to 107,000 by 3 p.m.

Eurostar has warned of “severe delays” due to a fault in the power supply in the Channel Tunnel, threatening to disrupt travel for thousands of travellers. The train operator said on Tuesday that because of a problem with the “overhead power supply in the Channel Tunnel and a subsequent failed LeShuttle train”,

Eurostar on Tuesday warned passengers to expect severe delays and last-minute cancellations due to a problem with the overhead power supply in the Channel Tunnel, its website showed.

"We regret that trains that can run are subject to severe delays and last-minute cancellations," Eurostar said in a statement.
