McKee, the Eagles’ backup behind Jalen Hurts, sustained a finger injury on his right throwing hand in practice on Monday and could be in danger of missing the Sept. 4 season opener.

Tanner McKee has been sidelined with an injury, but it doesn't seem serious and the Eagles QB should be ready to go soon.

After the season, Howell was traded to the Seattle Seahawks to serve as Geno Smith's backup. He got into two games and went 5-for-14 passing for 24 yards. Howell was then traded to the Vikings to serve as J.J. McCarthy's backup in April.
