The NBA postponed the Los Angeles Lakers' home game against the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday with several massive wildfires burning across the greater Los Angeles area.

The Lakers are scheduled to face the Hornets at 7:30 p.m. PT on Thursday in Los Angeles, so it will be worth monitoring to see what happens. The Lakers are also set to host the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday and Monday, so there could be some rescheduling depending on how things develop.

The NBA postponed Thursday's game between the Hornets and Lakers because of the wildfires in the Los Angeles area that have claimed over 1,000 structures, including the home of Lakers coach JJ Redick.

"The entire NBA family sends its thoughts and support to the community of Los Angeles during this challenging time," the league said.

With the wildfires raging on in the Los Angeles area, the NBA has decided to postpone the Lakers game against the Hornets.
