WASHINGTON – Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will not attend President-elect Donald Trump's historic inauguration on Monday, her spokesperson confirmed to USA TODAY.
A spokesperson for Pelosi, who attended Trump’s 2017 inauguration, did not provide an explanation for the move.
Pelosi, who led impeachments against Trump, and Obama, who has largely stayed out of politics, are both forgoing the inauguration ceremony.
