The New England Patriots are interviewing Byron Leftwich for their head coaching vacancy on Tuesday, The Athletic reported.
On Wednesday, the Patriots interviewed Leftwich for their vacant head coaching position. The 44-year-old was last the offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He won a Super Bowl with Brady in 2020.
The Patriots announced they completed interviews with Byron Leftwich and Pep Hamilton on Tuesday. That makes them the first team to comply with the Rooney Rule, which requires teams to conduct in-person interviews with at least two minority candidates.
