It's still fairly early in the major conference tournaments, so for bubble teams, Wednesday was more about avoiding bad losses than earning significant wins. For Ohio State, the next few days should be stressful after the Buckeyes lost 77-70 to Iowa in the Big Ten Tournament.

North Carolina basketball once looked like a March Madness afterthought. Now the Tar Heels have scaled Ohio State.

Step one in North Carolina's plan to make the NCAA Tournament is complete: crush Notre Dame. The Tar Heels did that, 76-56, and are heading to the ACC quarterfinals on Thursday, when they'll play Wake Forest,

The bubble is starting to shrink as the college basketball season winds down. Tuesday morning, Wake Forest fell off of it in the wrong direction following a 93-60 loss at Duke on Monday night.  There are 10 bubble games on Tuesday and each of them features a bubble team on the road.
