An early unbeaten NFC West record bodes well for the San Francisco 49ers' chances of a Super Bowl LX appearance.

Throughout his career with the 49ers, Farnhorst played in seven years. He racked up 232 total tackles, seven interceptions, and a sack during his NFL career with San Francisco. He was also a part of winning three Super Bowls during his tenure in San Francisco and was a starter during those runs.

There was no official word if Super Bowl Opening Night – the Monday night media circus – will be moved out of San Jose’s SAP Center, site of the 2015 event.

Jim Fahnhorst, a three-time Super Bowl champion with the 49ers, died at 66 on Wednesday. Fahnhorst was a crucial member of the San Francisco dynasty in the 80s, playing linebacker for 82 games for the franchise. The Minnesota native was a member of the Super Bowl XIX, XXIII and XXIV teams.
