Influential former Brooklyn Democratic Party boss Frank Seddio is abandoning Mayor Eric Adams and backing ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo, he told The Post Thursday. Seddio — who is the law partner of Adams’ political adviser and former City Hall chief-of-staff Frank Carone — said he doesn’t see a path for embattled mayor to win re-election.

The comeback attempt, three years after Andrew M. Cuomo resigned as governor in scandal, will test New Yorkers’ appetite for second chances, and change.

Eric Adams has united Democrats in New York City. From across the boroughs and otherwise warring ideological factions, there is widespread agreement that the mayor has little to no chance of winning the Democratic primary in June — and that he shouldn’t even try.
