A number of questionable decisions went against the United States men's national team during Sunday's 2-1 loss to Mexico in the Gold Cup final, including what appeared to be a handball by Mexican defender Jorge Sánchez that wasn't called.

For 23 fleeting minutes, the USMNT was atop CONCACAF. But it succumbed to a Mexican comeback, and, in the end, a better team. So it settled for second place at the Gold Cup.

Mexico defeated the United States Men’s National Team by a score of 2-1 on Sunday to win the nation’s 10th CONCACAF Gold Cup trophy as the champions of North America, Central America and the Caribbean.
