The Michigan high school girls basketball postseason begins on Monday with the opening round of district competition. While some seasons will end, others will advance to play at least another game, extending their chances of hardware by the end of the week.

Wypych, now a Miss Basketball finalist, averaging 22.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.6 steals, has been a starter since her freshman year, competing in the final four at Breslin each season, losing to West Bloomfield in the semifinals in 2022 and again last season in an overtime game.
