French defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu says France will keep providing military intelligence to Ukraine after Washington announced it was freezing the sharing of information with Kyiv.

France is offering intelligence to Ukraine, Defence Minister Sebastien Lecornu said on Thursday, a day after Washington said it was suspending intelligence sharing with Kyiv, an effort to step up pressure on Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

The U.S. has cut off intelligence-sharing with Kyiv, said CIA Director John Ratcliffe on Wednesday, in a move that could seriously hamper the Ukrainian military's ability to target Russian forces. The

US President Donald Trump has gone all in with his effort to strongarm Kyiv into peace negotiations with Russia, suspending US military aid to Ukraine with immediate effect. The move has sent shockwaves through the Western world and left Ukraine and its allies scrambling.

The directive, which takes effect immediately, affects more than $1 billion in arms and ammunition in the pipelines and on order.
