The Trump administration and the Treasury Department agreed to stop the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, from accessing taxpayer data within IRS systems, according to The Washington Post, the latest development around DOGE’s attempts to access federal data as part of an effort to reduce government spending.

A lawyer for the Trump administration couldn’t say whether the data DOGE accessed had been shared outside the US Treasury Department.
