Thousands of users worldwide are reporting issues accessing WhatsApp this afternoon. The popular Meta-owned messaging app appeared to go down just after 3:30pm Irish time. Gremlins are still ongoing at the time of writing, with no word on when it will be fixed.

According to Down Detector, the problems started at around 3:11pm today, February 28, and are affecting WhatsApp users across the UK. At this time, reports of issues spike significantly with almost 6,000 people logging their experience. Currently, the most reported issues are sending messages (56%), server connection (32%) and app issues (12%).

WhatsApp is currently down in the US, with users reporting that the app is not working properly and they are unable to connect. As of 10:55 AM EDT, DownDetector has received over 1,500 reports, most of which cite connectivity issues.
