Harmful chemicals remain in Battle Creek water, latest testing shows
A drinking water standard violation remains in effect for some Battle Creek-area customers following recent safety testing, the city says.
Quarterly samples in August found total trihalomethanes (TTHMs) exceeding the maximum contaminant level of 80 parts per billion at sites in Battle Creek, Emmett Township and Pennfield Township.
