Hours after announcing an attack on soldiers in southern Gaza that led to intense airstrikes in the Strip, the IDF says that two soldiers were killed and three were wounded in the attack by Palestinian terror operatives in Rafah this morning. The slain soldiers are named as Maj. Yaniv Kula, 26, and Staff Sgt. Itay Yavetz, 21.

Ukraine’s air force said Russia launched hundreds of drones and missiles towards Ukraine last night. It said initial investigations showed there was direct hits from 14 missiles and 37 drones at 14 locations - and debris from downed targets fell in two other places. The worst-hit regions are Poltava and Kharkiv.
