Global Airlines has departed on its inaugural commercial flight across the Atlantic Ocean, with the airline’s Airbus A380 having left Glasgow Airport (GLA) for its trek to New York, the United States.

The flight was previously scheduled for October aboard Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket, which would have been its first launch. But, as rockets are wont to do, the inaugural flight was delayed.
