T he Honda Passport is returning to its roots. The original 1990s Passport was an Isuzu-based SUV with some serious off-road credentials, but the resurrected 2019–2024 Passport

The most obvious indication of this is the design that in many ways harkens back to the 1997-2002 second-generation model that was built by Isuzu. The new Passport has a chunkier, more squared off design with a flatter, longer hood, slightly more upright windshield and similar kick-up at the beltline toward the back of the rear doors.

The all-new 2026 Honda Passport is more of a departure from the Honda Pilot it’s based on than the last generation was and designed to go even farther afield. Honda gave the two-row crossover SUV more individual styling and the most off-road capable platform the automaker has ever built.
