NYSCOPBA wants to meet with DOCCS about understaffing, early releases, and unsafe working conditions that have continued after an unsanctioned strike among correction officers.

On Saturday, DOCCS and NYSCOPBA agreed to end the illegal walkout. Although the 85% return threshold wasn’t met, the State fully recognizes this agreement and the one from March 6th.
