Fueled by a strong slate of contenders that includes The White Lotus (24 nominations), The Penguin (24 nominations), The Last of Us (17 nominations), Hacks (15 nominations), and The Pitt (13 nominations), HBO Max earned a record 142 Emmy nominations across 20 titles — a massive jump from last year's total of just 91.
Although the “Star Wars” franchise series “Andor” received 14 nominations — including Best Drama Series, Best Writing for a Drama Series, and Best Directing for a Drama Series — creator Tony Gilroy still thinks the show was overlooked in certain categories.
The Warner Bros. Discovery network scored 142 Emmy nominations, compared to 121 for Netflix. This marks the most Emmy nominations HBO has ever received in a single year, beating its previous total of 140 in 2022. Last year, it received 91 and was behind Netflix and FX.
