The Chicago Cubs had two players start in Tuesday’s MLB All-Star Game and Pete Crow-Armstrong did something special in his debut.

When the National League team takes the field in the top of the first inning for Tuesday night’s MLB All-Star Game at Truist Park in Atlanta, two-thirds of the outfield will be Cubs. Kyle Tucker will start in right field and Pete Crow-Armstrong will start in center for the NL.

The Chicago Cubs finished Day 1 of the MLB Draft on Sunday evening, making three total selections. In the first round with the 17th pick, the Cubs selected Ethan Conrad, a center fielder out of Wake Forest.

With their second-round pick, the Cubs chose Kane Kepley, a left-handed outfielder from North Carolina. At 5-foot-8, Kepley walked on at Liberty in 2023 and then transferred to North Carolina for the 2025 season. In between, he had an All-Star summer in the Cape Cod League in 2024.
