I’m contemplating getting the Fitbit Inspire 2 as it’s currently on sale and I’ve been thinking about getting a fitness tracker for a while, so it seems like a good time to get one. I just want something simple to track everyday heart rate and steps, not for regular intense exercise.

If you really don't want to use the app, I would recommend one of these two option. if you have a friend with a Fitbit account, borrow their phone, activate your tracker (add it to their account) and then delete the tracker from their account. It's no longer linked to a phone, so nothing gets uploaded to the web.
Inspire isn't syncing. It isn't even pairing with my phone.

On your phone go into the "Optimise Battery Usage" settings and make sure that the following are disabled (meaning: NOT optimised. Mar 25, 2021 · Nothing has resolved it for me, including: Toggling airplane mode. Toggling Bluetooth alone. Restarting the Fitbit. Uninstalling and reinstalling the Tile app on the Fitbit. Closing and restarting the Tile app on my phone. ETA: What finally worked for me was unpairing my Fitbit from my phone's Bluetooth, then re-pairing it.

May 12, 2023 · The Fitbit computer app is defunct AFAIK. I had it for my mother-in-law for her Fitbit (charge 2, or inspire I think). Also, it required some sort of dongle to sync, which seemed silly since it has bluetooth.

Dec 10, 2021 · Fitbit Inspire 2 (bought on sale for $60 in the US): Screen is dimmer and monochrome but adequate. Battery lasts a long time (easily more than two weeks). The Fitbit app is nicely laid out. Also data can be seen on the web dashboard. Heart rate seems more accurate. One year of Premium was included but not sure if I will continue.
